1 Timothy 1:15-16
...Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
this verse embodies everything that I'm feeling about my leaving for Australia in a month. His redemption is more beautiful than I have words to express.

When I feel that I haven't measured up and when Satan, the accuser, comes to taunt me...it is this verse that is my hope. Satan would like my failures and my mistakes to be my demise...but because of God's rich mercy, he has no ground to stand on. It is in my weakness that He is strong in me. It is in my failures that God shows His success. It's in my sin that He shows His relentless forgiveness. It is that hope that we can offer a world that will forever fail but can walk in the perfection of Christ. Because He is perfect...I am. Because He lives in me...I can walk in victory...not defeat.
This is the verse that allows us to offer grace to the worst of sinners. It is your entrance into the lives of those who need a Savior.
